For Those Who Love Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many years.
I have you, my loves, and you can only guess
How much you gave to me of happiness.
I thank you for the love you all have shown,
But now it’s time I travelled on alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for a while that we must part.
So bless those memories that lie within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on;
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near.
And if you listen with all your heart, then you will hear
All my love around you, soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and ‘Welcome Home’

Our loving mother is now at rest,
For each of us she did her best.

Her love was great, her heart was kind,

A beautiful memory left behind.

A special smile, a special face,

A special Mum we can’t replace.

You gave your love, your whole life through.

God bless you Mum, We love you too.

Deep in our hearts you will always stay,
Loved and remembered every day.

A requiem mass was celebrated on Thursday 17th December 2009
at Our Lady of Fatima Parish and concluded at Woronora Cemetery.
